We publish results of The ROCKS Trial in the journal ‘Kidney International Reports’
ROCKS (Renal Outcomes in Children with acute Kidney injury post cardiac Surgery) trial looked at the long term renal outcomes in children who had AKI post cardiac surgery. The outcomes studies were urinary biomarker excretion, eGFR and hypertension. The study shows the biomarker remain elevated years after an episode of AKI, and further reinforces the need to follow these children on a long term. It took us seven years to publish this research !
